AutoJet Spray System Decreases
Production Downtime by 90%

Problem: A major European carpet manufacturer needed an automated spray system to apply a lubricant on carpet fibers while spooling multiple yarns onto a master spool.

The system needed to spray carpet fibers with an even coating of lubricant across the entire width of the spool. For worker safety, the spray system needed to minimize misting, and the system needed to integrate seamlessly with the customer's existing equipment. Additionally, the system had to maintain consistent coverage despite variations in spray distance.

Here's a partial list of the applications we solve every day.

What are regulation modes?

The Model 2250 AutoJet Spray Controller has 8 built-in regulation modes which allow for control of a wide variety of applications. In each edition of In The Loop, we'll provide information about these regulation modes.

Open Loop Flow PWM Control is used for spraying at a constant flow rate and a constant fluid pressure. This is achieved by the Model 2250 Controller varying the duty cycle through Pulse Width Modulaton (PWM). Open Loop Flow PWM Control is typically used with electric spray guns and involves rapidly turning a spray gun on and off.
