AutoJet Zoned Cooling Spray System nominated for Product
Innovation Award
May
2004 - AutoJet Technologies Zoned Cooling Spray System has been
nominated for Flow Control magazine's annual Product Innovation
Award.
The
AutoJet Zoned Cooling Spray System provides even cooling for any
product where temperature variations across the width of the web
affect product quality or production rates. Specific examples of
products that can be cooled in this way include: roofing shingles
and membranes; aluminum sheet; extruded plastic or rubber sheets
or films; PVC coated sheet metal; copper and brass alloys; and ceiling
tile panels.
The
patent-pending Zoned Cooling Spray System closed loop control provides
cooling in independent zones across the width of the product, automatic
nozzle orifice cleanout, and back-up manual controls.
Most
systems used for cooling webbed products use manually controlled
headers with hydraulic spray nozzles positioned across the web.
The AutoJet Zoned Cooling Spray System uses air-atomizing nozzles,
which provide fine drops and the ability to maintain a constant
spray angle despite liquid pressure variations.
